BM checks each new store before opening it. After that, staff, customers and book-up rules belong to the store's owner; BM staff only step in for a lost PIN or a subscription.

Your till already knows what you sold. Pro turns that into tax invoices, a record of money in and out, and your GST worksheet — so nothing is typed twice.
Pro is an optional add-on for stores that keep books for the IRC (the Internal Revenue Commission). It is coming soon, starting with early access: BM will switch it on store by store. The tax rules are being checked with a PNG tax adviser, and each worksheet says whether its rules have been checked yet.

Bisnis Stoa uses BM ID, the BM wallet and Dinau Buk. Stores subscribe monthly; there are no per-sale charges.
- Blockchain Melanesia is working with the Bank of Papua New Guinea to secure its e-money licence for the BM wallet.
- Book-up is written to Dinau Buk, so the customer always sees the same balance the store does.
- Staff can sell but cannot change prices, stock counts or book-up limits.
- Sales are kept on the phone when the signal drops and synced later — nothing is lost.
- Pro is built so that invoices are numbered in order and never deleted — they are voided or credited — and every change to the books is recorded.

Is Bisnis Stoa live?
It is in pilot with a few stores. If you run a trade store and want to try it, talk to us.
What does it cost?
A small monthly store subscription, chosen by store size. No charge per sale.
Do I need internet all the time?
No. Sales are recorded offline; the phone syncs when it next has a connection.
What about book-up customers who do not have the app?
You can still record their book-up by phone number. When they sign in to Dinau Buk they will see it.
What is Bisnis Stoa Pro?
An optional add-on for stores that keep books for the IRC: numbered tax invoices you can send on WhatsApp, a record of money in and out with receipt photos, bank statement matching, reports, and GST and tax worksheets. It is all built from your own till sales, so nothing is typed twice. Pro is not available yet: it is coming soon, starting with early access, and BM will switch it on store by store.
Do I need Pro?
Only if you keep books for the IRC — for example, you are registered for GST, you sell to businesses that need tax invoices, or you run a company. Many small trade stores do not need it. Not sure? Ask your accountant or the IRC.
Does Pro file my GST return with the IRC?
No. Pro prepares a worksheet with the numbers for IRC Form G1. You check it and lodge the return yourself, or give it to your accountant. A Pro worksheet is not an official IRC form or return, and nothing is sent to the IRC from the app.
Are the tax rules right?
The rules (rates, formulas and dates) come from published IRC and Treasury documents, and BM keeps them up to date. They are being checked by a PNG tax adviser. Until a rule set has been checked, every worksheet is marked "not yet checked by a tax adviser". Please check each worksheet with the IRC or your accountant before you lodge and pay. Pro is not tax advice.
